Friday, 22 August 2025 – DPS recently held a send-off at Brunei International Airport for the second cohort of scholarship recipients for their Deck Officer Cadet Programme.

Eight scholarship recipients will undergo a three-year training programme at Akademi Laut Malaysia (ALAM), equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills required for a successful career as a marine pilot.

Upon completion, the students will be awarded with a Diploma in Nautical Studies and a Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 3 as Deck Officers.

This initiative is part of DPS’s commitment to nurturing local talent and building a new generation of highly skilled maritime professionals, poised to take on leadership roles and contribute to the future of Brunei’s maritime industry.
