Tuesday, 4 November 2025 – Darussalam Pilotage Services (DPS) Sdn Bhd and Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC) marked a significant milestone with the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the DPS Office in Serasa.

The collaboration reflects a shared vision to strengthen Brunei Darussalam’s maritime sector while investing in the development of future maritime professionals.

The MoU was signed by Yang Mulia Nor Ariffin bin Haji Mohd Ali, Acting General Manager of DPS, and Yang Mulia Captain Abdul Mateen bin Abdurrahman Liew, Managing Director of BGC.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from both organisations, symbolising a shared commitment to fostering closer cooperation and advancing mutual goals within the industry.

Through this collaboration, BGC will provide berthing space to support DPS’s pilot cadet training programme, offering practical, hands-on experience in a real operational environment.

The partnership also sets the foundation for a future Service Level Agreement (SLA) aimed at enhancing operational excellence and long-term cooperation.
