Thursday, 29 August 2024 – Darussalam Pilotage Services Sdn Bhd (DPS) proudly organised its first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Blood Donation Drive at its office in Serasa, in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital. The initiative marked an important milestone for the company, reflecting DPS’s continued commitment to supporting the community and promoting meaningful social responsibility initiatives.
The blood donation drive received an encouraging response from employees, stakeholders, clients, and invited participants, with more than 40 individuals coming forward to contribute towards the cause. Within just three hours, a total of 38 pints of blood were successfully collected, demonstrating a strong spirit of generosity, compassion, and collective responsibility among all participants.
The event was led by DPS Acting General Manager, Yang Mulia Nor Ariffin bin Haji Mohd Ali. The initiative also reflected DPS’s belief in the importance of giving back to society and contributing positively to national healthcare needs.
Conducted with the support and guidance of medical personnel from RIPAS Hospital’s Blood Donation Centre, the programme ensured that all donation procedures were carried out safely, professionally, and efficiently. Participants underwent the necessary health screenings and were guided throughout the donation process to ensure a comfortable and smooth experience.
The successful turnout reflected the strong support and solidarity shared among DPS employees, partners, and stakeholders. It also demonstrated how collaboration between organisations and healthcare institutions can create meaningful impact and encourage a culture of volunteerism and care within the community.
