IT Assistant Manager

This position plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the organization's entire IT infrastructure and operations, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The IT Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies, ensuring cyber security, establishing and enforcing IT policies, and driving digitalization initiatives to enhance efficiency and growth.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • IT Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive IT strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
    • Conduct regular IT needs assessments and identify opportunities for technology optimization and innovation.
    • Formulate a long-term IT roadmap, prioritizing investments in technology infrastructure, software, and solutions.
  • Network and Systems Management:
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centers.
    • Ensure the efficient operation and performance of IT systems and troubleshoot any technical issues.
    • Implement and manage cloud-based solutions, as needed, to improve accessibility and scalability.
  • Cyber Security and Data Protection:
    • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure and data from cyber threats.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
    • Implement and maintain comprehensive data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity in case of outages or disruptions.
  • IT Policy and Governance:
    • Establish and enforce clear and comprehensive IT policies and procedures to govern the use of technology within the organization.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including data privacy regulations.
    • Manage and maintain user access controls and permissions for IT systems and data.
  • Digitalization and Innovation:
    • Identify and implement digitalization initiatives that leverage technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.
    • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications within the organization.
    • Recommend and implement technology solutions that support the organization's digital transformation journey.
  • Team Management and Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for the IT team to ensure their skills and competencies stay current.
    • Manage IT projects effectively, meeting deadlines and staying within budget constraints.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, clearly articulating the value proposition of IT initiatives.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT solutions effectively support their business needs.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external vendors to secure the best value for IT services and solutions.

Education, Professional Qualification, & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the IT field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects is essential.
  • Possession of relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) is a plus.
